Vegan Donuts

Super simple and healthy donuts that you can make in less than 30 minutes!

 

Ingredients for 10 donuts:

200g sugar

300g plain flour

120g vegan yogurt

20g water

1tsp vinegar

80g vegetable oil

10g baking powder

pinch of salt


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C

  2. In a medium bowl mix yogurt, vinegar, oil and water

  3. Add sugar ad mix until it dissolves

  4. In another bowl sift flour and baking powder then add into the liquid mixture

  5. Add salt and mix until well combined, you should have a very smooth dough but not liquidy

  6. Make a ball from the mixture and using your hand try to mold a donut shape making a hole in the middle of the ball (repeat this step for the rest of the mixture)

  7. Put the donuts into a donut stamp making sure it is equally distributed

  8. Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C

  9. Let it cool down completely before glazing

 

For white glaze:

100g confectioner sugar

50g hot water


Method:

  1. Boil water and pour into the sugar then mix until all sugar are well dissolved

  2. Make sure the mixture in warm not hot before sinking the donuts in


 

For chocolate ganache:

100g dark chocolate

50g vegan whipped cream


Method:

  1. Heat the whipped cream (be sure not to boil it)

  2. Pour into the dark chocolate (cutted into little pieces)

  3. Let it sit for atleast 2 minutes then mix until smooth

 

Tips:

  • If you cannot find a vegan yogurt, you can substitute it with 1 smashed banana

  • If you don't have a donut pan or mold, just use the muffins or cupcakes pans, but make sure to insert an alluminum foil in the middle before pouring the mixture.

  • Use some dried fruits or chocolate chips to guarnish your donuts. Enjoy!
